School Counsellor
based at Alderman White School
Grade 5 – Points 15-22- £23,953 to £27,541
Actual Salary - £11,590 to £13,326
21 hours per week: 3 days per week 8.15am – 3.45pm Term Time Only

Alderman White School is looking to appoint a School Counsellor to provide support for students who are facing difficulties either at school or more generally in other areas of their life.  The successful candidate will have experience of delivering a counselling service which addresses the emotional needs of the individual on a one-to-one basis but will also be comfortable in delivering group sessions where there is a requirement. Our School Counsellor will have a commitment to supporting young people in overcoming social, behavioural and academic barriers and will work with a range of stakeholders, including parents and carers, in order to achieve excellent outcomes.

We are seeking an individual who holds a Diploma or Masters level qualification in Counselling or Psychotherapy as well as Accreditation or registration with one of the recognised awarding bodies (BACP, UKCP etc.).
